A New Painting Finds Its Place

Every exhibition changes over time.

Sometimes a painting finds a new home.
Sometimes it begins a journey beyond the exhibition itself.

One of the paintings from the exhibition Stories of Feelings has now left for Italy, where it will be exhibited at the 9th Chianciano Biennale this August.

Its place at the Ogre Municipality Cultural Centre is now filled by a new work.

"I Found an Exit That Turned Out to Be an Entrance"

Like many of Artis Berkmanis' paintings, it is less about a place than a moment—a quiet realization that what seemed to be the end was, in fact, the beginning of something new.

The painting is now until end of August on public display as part of the exhibition Stories of Feelings at the Ogre Municipality Cultural Centre.
