Artwork story

A red arc, a grey sphere and gold lines on a dark, textured background — held in careful balance.

Everything seems to be in balance — in this frame, and in life, when it feels as if everything is in order and happening the way we want. But does that give us peace? Or is there still a worry that something might collapse, tip over, or enter the frame and break our balance?

Artis's wish for everyone: more peace than balance.

Balance was not peace

Tense balance, an illusion of peace.

Graphic, intellectual, dark, disciplined, tense, elegant, with a suppressed impulse beneath simplicity. Something is being held together, but that does not mean peace and order reign there.
