Artwork story

Cold, lifeless railway tracks stand in contrast with two small, fragile, yet living flowers.
Movement, time, and history can take people away.
But that does not mean their presence disappears.
Those who left.
Those who were taken.
Those who never returned.
The thread of a life may be broken, but memory continues to live — in stories, in silence, in the traces that remain.
Between the black-and-white background and the living colour of the flowers, this painting becomes a meditation on absence, endurance, and the gentle way memory continues to bloom.

Exhibited at the exhibition

The tracks carried the names away; the flowers remember them

Hope stronger than grief. Life where they tried to eradicate it.

Dark, full of past pain, quiet, heavy, but with an unexpected point of hope. Fragility against the system. Gentleness against destruction. Life against oppression.

Still Here, Still Blooming The Wound Is a Witness The Distance Inside Us Grief Hope Memory Tenderness Survival
